Bolesławiec police on the incident:
At night, a 44-year-old resident of Podlaskie Voivodeship was driving a Mercedes passenger car on national road DK94 toward Legnica. For reasons not yet established, he moved into the opposite lane, causing a head-on collision with a Man truck traveling with a trailer.
The truck driver is a 24-year-old from Greater Poland. Bolesławiec police: – As a result of the injuries sustained, the driver of the passenger car died at the scene. The truck driver was tested for alcohol, with a negative result.
And adds: – Police secured the vehicles involved in the incident. Activities are being carried out at the scene under the supervision of the prosecutor.
The incident occurred during the night of June 23–24.
After midnight, a truck and a passenger car collided head-on on national road no. 94, between Kruszyn and Tomaszów Bolesławiecki. The driver of the latter vehicle died at the scene. Police and the prosecutor’s office are determining the causes and circumstances of the incident.
Firefighters from SGRT Bolesławiec, JRG Bolesławiec, as well as from Warta Bolesławiecka, were at the scene.
