The incident took place on Wednesday, June 19, in the morning, on the road between Leśna and Lubań. As eluban.pl reports:
The Audi driver was pulling out from a minor road from the direction of Szyszkowa and, according to his statement, did not see the moped because he was dazzled by the low-lying sun. In this way, he failed to give way to the moped rider and caused a collision.
Aspirant szt. Justyna Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń, press officer for the KPP in Lubań, told the aforementioned outlet:
Preliminary findings indicate that the driver of an Audi, when exiting a minor road onto road 393, on the Lubań–Leśna route, failed to give way to the moped rider travelling on the main road towards Leśna, resulting in a collision between the two vehicles. The moped rider was transported to the Łużyckie Centrum Medyczne for examination.
Police are determining the causes and circumstances of the incident.
