– Officers from the Lubań police station suspected one of the county’s residents of involvement in drug-related crime. They determined that the young woman would be staying in a forest near Lubań and might be carrying drugs – reports aspirant staff officer Justyna Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń, press officer for the Lubań County Police Headquarters.
She adds:
While checking an Audi A4 parked in dense woodland, the suspect emerged from the forest. When she saw the police officers, she began behaving nervously. In a woman’s handbag, the officers found dried plant material and a crystalline powder.
What is more, it turned out that the vehicle had license plates whose appearance differed from the originals. The police secured them as evidence.
Aspirant staff officer J. Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń:
The woman was arrested, and the suspected substances were secured. Testing confirmed that the seized drugs consisted of approximately 230 doses of amphetamine and 11 doses of marijuana.
The 31-year-old was charged with possessing significant quantities of narcotic substances. The prosecutor placed her under police supervision. She now faces up to 10 years in prison.
