To avoid financial liability for not having mandatory car insurance, the 25-year-old came up with the idea of creating two fictitious contracts. The perpetrator used access to a man’s personal data and forged his signature.

And explains:

The first document stated that the 25-year-old had sold the car to a senior citizen, while several months later the transaction was reversed: the older man sold the vehicle to the suspect.

And clarifies: – Of course, the injured party was the “owner” of the vehicle during the period when mandatory insurance had not been purchased. The crime came to light because the guarantee fund demanded payment of the amount due, identifying the senior citizen as the debtor, who turned out to be the injured party in the entire case.

Ultimately, the 25-year-old admitted to the alleged offense. Forgery of a document is punishable by up to five years in prison.
