Police officers from the Patrol and Intervention Unit of the Bolesławiec police station, while checking the city area at night, stopped a passenger car with Jelenia Góra registration plates for inspection. KPP:
The driver was a 23-year-old resident of Żagań County. The driver's condition indicated that he might be intoxicated. The test showed 1.3‰ of alcohol in his system.

The officers also established that in 2022 the District Court in Opole had issued a driving ban against the man, which remains in force until November this year.
The driver was detained; after sobering up, he was charged with driving while intoxicated and violating a court-ordered ban. He faces up to 5 years in prison.
