Police officers will measure speeds both statically and dynamically, with particular focus on locations where road accidents caused by excessive speed occur most frequently.
Police SPEED groups will also participate in the operations. Their main task is to prevent dangerous behaviour on the road, such as exceeding the permitted speed.
Officers:
Failure to adjust speed to traffic conditions is the main cause of fatal road accidents. We therefore appeal to drivers to observe permitted speed limits and slow down in places where regulations and common sense require particular caution. Such increased vigilance is necessary, among other places, near pedestrian crossings, cycle crossings and at intersections.
