– In July last year, a ban was introduced on trucks overtaking on expressways and motorways. It is intended to improve traffic flow on the main transport routes. Unfortunately, not all drivers comply with these regulations, so they must expect the legally prescribed consequences – asp. Aleksandra Pieprzycka from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.

And she adds:

A 53-year-old man from the Masovian Voivodeship, stopped by a traffic patrol from Złotoryja, found this out. The truck driver was overtaking another vehicle on the A4 motorway. In connection with the offense, the man received a PLN 1,000 fine, and 8 penalty points were added to his record.

The police check did not end there, however. Aspirant A. Pieprzycka: – A check of the driver's authorization showed that the man was subject to a three-year court ban on driving vehicles. Failure to comply with a court order is a criminal offense, for which the 53-year-old will face criminal proceedings. He faces between 3 months and 5 years in prison, and the court may additionally impose a lifetime ban on driving vehicles.
