A roadside check took place at the exit from the A4 motorway, at the Jadwisin interchange. – Traffic police officers from Złotoryja stopped the driver of a Mercedes truck. At the wheel was a 59-year-old resident of Lubin County – reports Aspirant Dominika Kwakszys, press officer of the Złotoryja District Police Headquarters.
And she adds: – Checking the man's driving entitlements revealed no irregularities, but a breathalyzer test showed that the man was intoxicated and had nearly 1 per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air. To confirm the result, the driver's blood was also taken.
She further explains:
In connection with the crime committed, the man's driving licence was confiscated, and proceedings will be conducted in the case. The man faces a court-imposed driving ban, a heavy fine and up to 3 years in prison.
