During a night patrol of national road No. 94, Bolesławiec traffic police stopped a passenger vehicle driven by a 28-year-old man for inspection. The police station reported: – The smell of alcohol was immediately noticeable from the man. A sobriety test showed that the resident of Nowogrodziec municipality was driving with 2 per mille of alcohol in his system.

And added:

From the beginning of the intervention, the 28-year-old tried to persuade the police officers to let him go because nothing had happened. First, he offered the officers 5,000–6,000 euros.

The man was then told that offering a financial benefit to a police officer was a crime. But that did not stop him. Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters: – He placed more than 2,000 zlotys on the armrest between the seats in the police car and said that the money was for the officers in exchange for letting him go.

The result? The 28-year-old from Nowogrodziec municipality was arrested. He faces up to 8 years in prison. He will also be held responsible for driving under the influence. (He has already lost his driving licence).
