As the Zgorzelec police report:

We appeal to those travelling on the A4 motorway towards Germany to consider using other border crossings. Due to increased traffic and border checks being carried out by the German side, a traffic jam has formed on the approach to the border crossing in Jędrzychowice; it is approximately 8 kilometres long.

What do the officers advise?

The officers:

  • We suggest regularly checking traffic levels and choosing alternative routes across the border, for example, in Radomierzyce.
  • Drivers of passenger vehicles who choose this route should preferably leave the motorway at the Godzieszów interchange and take voivodeship road no. 296 to national road no. 30, followed by voivodeship road no. 352 towards Radomierzyce.
  • For vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes, the border crossing in Sieniawkais recommended, where traffic is flowing smoothly.
