Crime officers from Bolesławiec recovered a Mercedes worth PLN 300,000 as a result of operational activities.
Bolesławiec KPP: – The car, stolen in Germany, was located in a forest complex in the Gromadka municipality. The vehicle was standing deep in the forest; nearby, officers found registration plates with a German identifier assigned to another vehicle, which had also been stolen.
Officers explain: – The situation was not immediately obvious because the vehicle had not been reported as stolen. Given where and how it was found, the police used international cooperation, which enabled them to confirm their suspicions and secure property worth PLN 300,000.
Interestingly, the Mercedes owner had not yet realized that they had fallen victim to criminals.
Officers are currently determining who is responsible for the vehicle theft and under what circumstances it ended up in Bolesławiec County.
