– Several months ago, officers of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters were attacked by a 29-year-old man during official duties undertaken in relation to a woman wanted to serve a two-year prison sentence – recalls asp. szt. Monika Kaleta from the Wrocław Provincial Police Headquarters.

And she adds:

The man, wanting to prevent a family member from being detained, attacked the police officers, waving a machete and then a knife. He also threatened to cause bodily harm and take their lives, and verbally abused the intervening officers with profanity. Immediately after his arrest, the perpetrator was placed in temporary custody.

The District Court in Bolesławiec issued a verdict in the case: one year and four months in prison.

Officers: – Because he disregarded the court’s decision, the convicted man was wanted by the justice system. He was detained by officers of the Bolesławiec Criminal Investigation Department.

They conclude: – There is no acceptance of aggression against police officers. There is no acceptance of aggression against another person.
