The incident occurred on Saturday, March 9. (A reader informed us about the matter today.) Bolesławiec police:
(...) at approximately 12:00 p.m., information was received that an uninvolved person had discovered a shell at the site of cleanup work being carried out along the disused Żagań–Zebrzydowa railway line in Osiecznica.
A bomb-disposal patrol was dispatched to the site, which was secured by police officers. Moreover, the evacuation of residents within a 100-meter radius was ordered.
Fortunately, no one was injured. The officers said: – The object was removed and secured.
