– Over the past five years, we have managed to renovate our county schools: I Liceum Ogólnokształcące, Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych and Zespół Szkół Budowlanych – says Bolesławiec County Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak. – Now it is time for Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych.
Bolesławiec’s “Handlówka” is set to undergo comprehensive thermal modernisation, covering both the school building and the gymnasium. The investment will include, among other things:
- insulation of the external walls together with the installation of a façade,
- roof insulation,
- insulation of the gymnasium floor,
- replacement of external doors and windows in the buildings with new ones.
What is more, the central heating systems in both of the aforementioned buildings will be modernised. It is worth emphasising that the heat source will also be replaced through the use of a hybrid system consisting of a ground-source heat pump and a gas boiler. Photovoltaic installations will also be installed. All this will make heating the ZSHiU buildings both cheaper and more environmentally friendly.
– We are beginning the steps leading to the signing of the grant agreement and, ultimately, to the implementation of this important project – says Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak. The estimated value of the project is PLN 6 million. Funding from European Union resources: PLN 4.2 million.
