On 2 October 2026, the Forum BOK–MCC hall filled with young talents, their parents, teachers and educators, and representatives of local governments.

All this took place as part of this year’s “The Mayor Invites You” gala, during which the most talented graduates of Bolesławiec primary schools and students who achieved significant successes in subject, artistic, thematic and sports competitions during the past school year were honored.

This year’s edition of the “Golden Hundred of Bolesławiec Talents – Talent of the Year 2026” was held under the slogan “Success is within each of us”. A special place during the ceremony was occupied by graduates of public and non-public primary schools who met the highest criteria for receiving the Mayor of Bolesławiec Award.

This year, 18 exceptional young residents of Bolesławiec joined the group of laureates. From the hands of Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman, the graduates received congratulations, commemorative diplomas and financial awards of PLN 1,000. Receiving the award required, among other things, an average grade of at least 5.3 and exemplary conduct. Excellent eighth-grade examination results also counted—from 80 to 100 percent of the maximum score in Polish and a foreign language, and from 75 to 100 percent in mathematics. The achievements of this year’s laureates outside the classroom also testify to their exceptional qualities. Additional points were awarded for the highest places in individual competitions, olympiads and contests at the county and regional levels, as well as for podium finishes and laureate titles in voivodeship, national and international competitions.

The gala also featured moving moments. The parents of the honored graduates received letters of congratulations. It was a symbolic thank-you for years of care, motivation, support and accompanying young people on their journey toward further successes.

The ceremony’s heroes also included students who put their knowledge, creativity and skills to the test in competitions. Laureates of subject, artistic, thematic and sports competitions showed that the path to success can run through many different passions. Some impress with knowledge and intellectual curiosity, others develop artistic sensitivity, while still others prove that perseverance and work during training lead to sporting achievements. Their successes range from the local and county levels through the voivodeship and national levels. Each of these results is a reason to be proud, but above all proof that it is worth developing one’s interests and not being afraid to set ambitious goals.
