As part of an innovative educational project, Bolesławiec County has secured financial support, with the initiative’s total value exceeding 5 600 000 zlotys. This opens up new opportunities for the development of vocational education in the county.

The “First Step” project began at the start of February. It involves digital solutions in the vocational education of students from Bolesławiec County, with Syntea S.A. as its partner.

The project will involve students and teachers from 5 Bolesławiec secondary schools operated by Bolesławiec County, where vocational education is provided, namely:

  • Zespół Szkół Mechanicznych w Bolesławcu
  • Zespół Szkół Budowlanych w Bolesławcu
  • Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych w Bolesławcu
  • Zespół Szkół Handlowych i Usługowych w Bolesławcu
  • Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych w Bolesławcu.

Thanks to the funds obtained, we will introduce the latest digital and technological solutions into the education process. These modern solutions will enable young people to learn more effectively and orient their education towards the needs of the labour market.

The “First Step” project is not only about improving the quality of vocational education, but also about adapting the educational offering to contemporary standards. As a result, graduates of our county schools will be better prepared to enter the labour market and cope with dynamic technological changes.

We will provide:

  • additional classes and training for 450 vocational-school students,
  • additional classes and training to improve vocational skills for 62 teachers,
  • student internships for 225 students,
  • we will equip the workshops of 5 of our schools with modern equipment.

Activities carried out as part of the project:

  • individual vocational counselling,
  • group workshops with elements developing green skills for students,
  • organisation and delivery of additional remedial and development classes in schools,
  • support for students in obtaining additional vocational qualifications,
  • professional development for teachers,
  • professional development for management staff,
  • student internships,
  • developing students’ skills by equipping workshops with technologically advanced, state-of-the-art equipment.

  • Programming and operating the 3D printing process
  • Customer relationship management using CRM
  • Geoinformation systems in practice, including the acquisition and processing of spatial data
  • Mixed drinks and alcohol service
  • Installation of construction joinery
  • CAD/CAM design
  • Welding course
  • Virtual Reality training
  • GIT course
  • Mobile application development
  • Electrical measurements of AC charging stations
  • Forklifts
  • Agricultural tractor driving course.

Thanks to the commitment of all parties and financial support, Bolesławiec County is laying solid foundations for the further development of vocational education and the improvement of young people’s qualifications. This ambitious project will undoubtedly contribute to increasing the region’s competitiveness and ensuring better career prospects for young people from Bolesławiec County.

The “First Step” project, involving digital solutions in the vocational education of students from Bolesławiec County, is implemented under Priority 8, “European Funds for Education in Lower Silesia”, Measure FEDS.08.01, “Access to Education”, of the European Funds for Lower Silesia 2021–2027 programme, co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus.
