As reported by the Lwówek KPP:

On Monday, before 2:00 p.m., the Municipal Police in Lwówek Śląski notified officers from the Lwówek police headquarters about the discovery of a dangerous object in Płóczki Dolne. While servicing a specialist vehicle used to empty liquid-waste tanks, an employee discovered an object resembling a shell.

An officer from the Non-Staff Ordnance and Pyrotechnics Reconnaissance Group of the Lwówek police headquarters immediately went to the site and confirmed that it was an artillery shell from World War II.

Police:

The discovery was reported to the Bomb Disposal Patrol of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec, whose task is to transport and neutralize the shell.

Officers:

We remind you that if you find an object resembling unexploded ordnance, you should exercise extreme caution. Such an object must not be picked up, thrown, moved or set on fire. The emergency services should be notified of the situation as soon as possible by calling 112. The discovery site should be secured against access by other people, especially children.
