The incident occurred on February 10. – Police officers from the Chojnów Police Station received a report that a woman who had withdrawn money from an ATM had been robbed. The perpetrator attacked her by surprise – reports Senior Sergeant Łukasz Porębski from the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
And he adds: – After withdrawing money from the ATM and putting it in her wallet, the woman was robbed. The man snatched her wallet containing all her money and documents and fled. The total losses he caused the victim amounted to more than 6,000 zlotys.
The Chojnów police quickly established the suspect’s identity. The spokesperson says: – His arrest was only a matter of time. Last Monday, the man was arrested and taken to the Chojnów Police Station to carry out procedural activities with his participation.
The 29-year-old has already been charged. He faces up to 8 years in prison. (The police recovered some of the stolen property).
