Notices to report for military qualification are delivered in writing. Mayors of municipalities, town and city mayors, and city presidents are responsible for sending them and keeping records of people required to report. County executives must provide premises where the qualification will be conducted. During the military qualification period, 391 county medical commissions will operate throughout Poland.

Who will receive a notice to report for military qualification?

As reported by Serwis Samorządowy PAP:

The following will be subject to qualification: men born in 2005; men born between 2000 and 2004 who do not have a determined category of fitness for active military service; people who were deemed temporarily unfit for military service by county medical commissions in 2022 and 2023; women born between 1997 and 2005 who have qualifications useful for military service; people who have reached the age of 18 and voluntarily report for military qualification; and people with an unregulated status regarding military service, until the end of the calendar year in which they turn 60, if they do not have a determined category of fitness for active military service and report for military qualification.

How does military qualification work?

  • identity verification,
  • entering personal data into the military records,
  • psychological and medical examination, and receiving a category of fitness for military service,
  • preliminary assignment to particular forms of military service,
  • providing information about the possibility of joining the military,
  • granting the rank of private and transferring the person to the inactive reserve,
  • issuing a certificate confirming attendance at military qualification, regulated status regarding military service, and the determined fitness for it.
