Officers from the Police Station in Gryfów Śląski, who were on duty during the night of January 10–11, noticed a vehicle around 3:00 a.m. that was parked near national road no. 30. Lwówecka KPP: – The concerned police officers decided to check the people inside.

A 38-year-old resident of Lwówek County was sitting behind the wheel, while a 38-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County was in the passenger seat. A 2-month-old girl was also in the vehicle.

During the identity check, it turned out that both the man and the woman were wanted by the courts to serve prison sentences. Marijuana was also found on the man. Due to suspicions that the couple had been caring for the child while under the influence of narcotic substances, they were taken to hospital, where blood samples were collected from them for testing.

Fortunately, nothing happened to the infant; the girl was placed with a family serving as an emergency foster family.

Police: – The irresponsible parents were taken to police cells and then to a pre-trial detention center. The 38-year-old man will also face charges for possession of narcotic substances, an offense punishable by up to 3 years in prison.

If it is confirmed that the adults were caring for the child while under the influence of drugs, they will be charged with exposing the child to danger, an offense punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
