“I, a citizen of the Republic of Poland, aware of the duties I am undertaking as a police officer, swear: to serve the Nation faithfully, to protect the legal order established by the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, to safeguard the security of the State and its citizens, even at the risk of my life” – these were among the words spoken during the solemn oath-taking ceremony by the new police officers who joined the ranks of the Lower Silesian Police.
– The garrison’s personnel has increased by another 40 police officers, including 16 women. The officers will now attend basic training at police schools across the country and will later return to their home units – explains asp. szt. Łukasz Dutkowiak, press spokesperson for KWP in Wrocław.
He adds:
In 2023, the personnel of our garrison increased by nearly 300 officers in total, while today’s recruitment (the ceremony took place on January 9 – ed. istotne.pl) brought us an additional 40 police officers, including 16 women. After completing their basic training, they will all be assigned to their home units, including those in Wrocław, Jelenia Góra, Legnica, Wałbrzych, Bolesławiec, Głogów, Góra, Jawor, Kamienna Góra, Kłodzko, Lubin, Oława, Polkowice, Środa Śląska, Świdnica, Trzebnica, Ząbkowice Śląskie and Złotoryja. Some of the young officers will also serve in the Police Prevention Unit in Wrocław and the Independent Police Prevention Subunit in Legnica.
He also adds: – We warmly congratulate all the newly recruited police officers. Since further recruitment has already been scheduled for March 4, 2024, we invite candidates to learn about the conditions of service in the Police.
