Thanks to intensive actions undertaken by officers from the District Police Headquarters in Lubań and the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław, a 36-year-old resident of Lubań County suspected of intra-Community acquisition and possession of significant quantities of drugs was detained.

The detention was preceded by extensive operational work, as a result of which police officers established that in December of this year, a parcel from the Kingdom of the Netherlands would be delivered by courier to a female resident of Lubań County. The package was believed to contain drugs. After the woman collected the parcel, the officers took action.

In the parcel, police officers found more than 2,500 retail doses of marijuana. It turned out that the “goods” belonged to the woman’s son. However, these were not the only drugs possessed by the resident of Lubań County. During a search, officers found hashish, cocaine, methamphetamine and marijuana at his place of residence. In total, more than 5,000 retail doses of marijuana, 240 doses of methamphetamine, and nearly 19 grams of hashish and cocaine were placed in police custody. Officers also seized a mobile phone and cash belonging to the 36-year-old.

The detained man was charged with intra-Community acquisition and possession of significant quantities of drugs. By court decision, he was detained for three months.
