The incident was reported by the lwowecki.info website. A woman went for a walk with her dog and, in bushes near Asnyka Street in Olszyna (Lubań County), came across human remains covered with scraps of material.
As the Lwówek-based outlet reports, the remains must have been there for several months. They were located a dozen or so metres from the road. The woman notified the police.

The Lubań police confirmed to us that a body had been found. As asp.szt. Justyna Bujakiewicz-Rodzeń acknowledged, the remains found had been dismembered, most probably by animals, and were in an advanced state of decomposition. Officers from the County Police Headquarters in Lubań, together with firefighters, searched the entire plot and also secured fragments of clothing. A police forensic technician worked at the scene.
By decision of the prosecutor, the remains were secured for a post-mortem examination, which is to confirm the woman's identity. DNA testing will most probably also be carried out.
