On Tuesday, 19 October, police officers from Bolesławiec, Jelenia Góra, Zgorzelec, Lubań, Kamienna Góra and Lwówek Śląski, together with officers of the Border Guard and Military Police, carried out the “Safe County” operation. The officers checked 198 vehicles and issued 132 fines, including as many as 65 for speeding. What is more, the officers apprehended three drunk drivers and three drivers banned from operating motor vehicles.
