Bolesławiec firefighters on the operation:
(...) at 4:25 a.m., the notification of a truck fire was received by the Command Post of the Poviat Commander of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec. Upon arriving at the scene, the firefighters found the trailer completely engulfed in flames. Before the units arrived, the driver disconnected the tractor unit from the trailer and moved it to a safe distance. (...) Firefighting operations lasted more than 5 hours.
The following took part in the operation:
- 2 Bolesławiec JRG units,
- 1 unit of the Volunteer Fire Service in Trzebień,
- 1 Stare Jaroszowice VFS unit,
- the police,
- road services.
Let us recall. Early in the morning, a Reader wrote to us:
Around Staroszkolna Street, two “explosions” could be heard. I don’t know what happened or how, but there was about 15 minutes between them (the first at about 4:20, and the second at about 4:35).
Another Reader added:
I would like to report that the bypass from the Amic station to the police headquarters is impassable because of a burning truck.
We have managed to establish that a fire broke out at around 4:25 a.m. on Cieszkowskiego Street in Bolesławiec. The trailer of a truck caught fire.
The danger has been eliminated. Fortunately, no one was injured. Nevertheless, you can still expect disruptions on this section.
The police are investigating the circumstances and causes of the incident.
