The mushroom season is in full swing in the forests around Bolesławiec. The weather is favorable. Rainfall, warm days and nights mean that in some places there are very large numbers of mushrooms.
Here are the edible species we can encounter most often:
- brown bay boletes (brown boletes),
- yellow boletes, larch boletes, cow boletes,
- parasol mushrooms and star parasol mushrooms,
- birch boletes,
- shaggy ink caps.
We may also come across, although less frequently:
- chanterelles,
- penny bun boletes (porcini),
- cauliflower mushrooms (hen of the woods).
The honey fungus season is still ahead of us.
Let us remember to pick only mushrooms that we are certain are edible.
