On September 27, in Piechowice (Karkonosze County), near Szklarka Waterfall, the Miner Divers Group from Świnoujście and the Bomb Disposal Patrol from the 23rd Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec detected 4,500 artillery shell fuzes.
As the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment reports: – During the operation to remove unexploded ordnance, conducted in this area for four weeks, 32,931 explosive and hazardous items have been detected to date.
Six military units and approximately ten state services and institutions are taking part in the operation, including the Forest Guard, the Police, the Karkonosze National Park Guard, volunteer fire brigades and the Crisis Management Center.
