Construction and renovation work, mushroom picking, and fieldwork are frequent circumstances in which unexploded ordnance is found in Bolesławiec County. On Wednesday (September 13), a dangerous object was found on the border between Lwówek County and Bolesławiec County. On Thursday (September 14), another item of unexploded ordnance was found in Osła during construction work.

In both cases, the bomb-disposal patrol from Krosno Odrzańskie is handling the situation. Bolesławiec police officers remind people of the need to notify the appropriate services if an object that may be unexploded ordnance is discovered. Leaving it in place poses a huge threat to the life and health of other people.

Despite the passage of many years, finds of this kind may still be extremely dangerous. Digging them up or disarming them is prohibited. They must not be touched, moved, kicked, or sawn.
