At the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, an exceptional meeting was held with the participation of the first deputy county police commander in Bolesławiec, Commissioner Artur Ciupka, and the chairman of the IPA Bolesławiec Region, Commissioner Tomasz Kazimierczuk.
The Polish officers were visited by an American police officer, Marek, who holds dual citizenship and comes from Wrocław. He emigrated from Poland 39 years ago and has served in the American police for 30 years. He is an experienced officer familiar with the problems of New Jersey residents and the specifics of the area where he works. He has repeatedly taught young police officers practical skills for their daily service and lectured at a police academy.
Bolesławiec police:
Marek has already visited Poland for security conferences and has also cooperated with the Dutch police. The discussions were very interesting. There were many questions about daily service, police equipment, cooperation with prosecutors and courts, and the nature of crime. As it turned out, the United States also faces the problem of scams involving the so-called grandchild and police officer impersonation schemes. Although thousands of kilometres separate us, we have a great deal in common. The exchange of experiences will certainly contribute to an even higher standard of service provided by our law enforcement officers.
He added: “At the end of the meeting, the officers exchanged souvenirs and promised to meet again during Sergeant Marek’s next visit to his family in Bolesławiec.
