On the desk of the Bolesławiec District Police Commander, Deputy Inspector Tomasz Jagielski, a letter of thanks was received for officers from the Criminal Division from a man who, thanks to the officers’ actions, recovered most of his stolen property.
The grateful resident of Bolesławiec wrote:
With reference to the incident of 2 July 2023 concerning the burglary of a garage at Plac Zamkowy in Bolesławiec. I would like to thank the excellent team from the Criminal Division of the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters, consisting of sergeants, for the impeccable performance of their duties, their approach to the situation and their perfect work.
They deserve special recognition; thanks to their work, most of the stolen items were returned to me. With tremendous thanks and respect for these wonderful police officers for their responsible work (...).
The Bolesławiec police unit:
The burglary of the victim’s garage took place on 2 July (...). The very next day, the officers’ findings led to the identification of a person suspected in the case, the arrest of the perpetrator and the recovery of power tools worth nearly PLN 4,000.
The recovered items were returned to the victim, and the 27-year-old perpetrator was charged with burglary.
This offence carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
