The incident took place on the night from Sunday to Monday. – The duty officer at the Lubin police station was notified of a road incident in one of the localities in Lubin Municipality. At the scene, police officers found the owners of the damaged fence and an abandoned Peugeot with its engine running – reports asp. szt. Sylwia Serafin from KPP Lubin.

As officers initially established, two young women were in the car at the time of the incident. The spokesperson said: – Witnesses heard a noise and suddenly the power went out in their homes. When they went outside, they noticed a damaged electrical box and fence.

She added: – The teenagers asked that no one be notified about the incident and then, leaving the car with its engine running, went away in an unknown direction.

The police quickly established who owned the Peugeot. At the owner’s home, officers found two 16-year-olds. The press officer said: – The young women admitted that the car belonged to the father of one of them and that they had taken it without his consent. They stated that they had taken turns driving and only wanted to go for a ride on side roads. At one point, one of them, while trying to reverse the car, drove into a fence and an electrical box, damaging them.

The girl who was driving at the time of the collision had one per mille of alcohol in her system, while her friend had 1.1 per mille. Both will now answer for their actions before the family court.
