Officers from the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters detained a 23-year-old man yet again in recent months. The reason was the same: suspicion of theft.
Officers: – This time, the thief stole a bicycle worth nearly PLN 2,000. Criminal investigators located where the bicycle had been hidden and returned it to its owner.
A similar situation occurred at the beginning of July. At that time, neighborhood officers recovered a bicycle stolen by the 23-year-old and detained the perpetrator.
Police on the suspect’s activities:
In recent months, the resident of Bolesławiec County had been “making a living” from shoplifting. He stole food products, household chemicals and alcohol. A total of 22 charges concerning property-related offenses were brought against him.
At the prosecutor’s request, the court ordered the suspect’s temporary detention for three months. Since the 23-year-old is a repeat offender, he faces up to seven and a half years in prison.
