The incident took place on July 18, at around 10:00 a.m. – A 31-year-old resident of Karkonosze County reported to Police Station II in Jelenia Góra in connection with proceedings concerning his driving a vehicle while intoxicated – reports Junior Aspirant Tomasz Nowak from the Press Section of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
He explains: – The man had been stopped for a roadside check in Piechowice the previous day, when it turned out that he was intoxicated. The test carried out at the time showed that he had nearly 1.5‰ of alcohol in his system.
The officers confiscated his driving licence.
As it turned out, the 31-year-old was not particularly concerned by this, because he arrived in his own car for the Tuesday meeting related to the case in question, this time with “only” nearly 1‰ of alcohol in his system. He parked the car—as if nothing had happened—right next to the police station, which was recorded by the officers’ cameras.
The officers: – The 31-year-old will now answer for his actions before the court and may face up to 2 years in prison, a driving ban and a hefty financial penalty.
