The incident took place on July 12. The story was reported by Pogotowie Ratunkowe w Jeleniej Górze:
(...) our team from Lwówek Śląski (...) – Zbyszek and Robert – received a call concerning a pregnant woman. The situation was developing rapidly – the contractions were becoming more frequent!
Pogotowie explains: – In such situations, there is no time to lose, so after a preliminary examination, our paramedics decided to urgently transport the mother-to-be to the nearest hospital – Lubań was chosen! During the transport, however, it turned out that the baby could wait no longer and… came into the world on board our ambulance!
It adds:
This is a very rare situation – most often, everything happens in the maternity ward. This time, however, we can say that the entire operation went smoothly and that we welcomed a baby boy into the world. Congratulations to the mother, the child and our paramedics on a beautiful operation!
The baby was named Dominik.
