District officers from the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, while responding to a report of alcohol theft, noticed a bicycle standing next to a building. Police: – According to information available to the officers, the bicycle had been stolen in the city centre the previous day.
It turned out that the man involved in the reported incident had arrived on the bicycle. The 22-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County was arrested, and the bicycle was secured.

The suspect is well known to police for various property offences. He had previously served a prison sentence.

After his arrest, the 22-year-old was charged with stealing a bicycle worth PLN 1,900 and possessing narcotic substances, which had been found in his possession several days earlier. In addition, police proved that the offender had committed a series of thefts between March and June 2023 at various shops in Bolesławiec. The suspect stole various goods, ranging from cosmetics and alcohol to power tools.
The man is a repeat offender, so he faces up to 7.5 years in prison.
