Two incidents occurred on Friday, July 7, on national road no. 30, near Nowa Karczma (Lubań County). First, at around 10:40 a.m., the emergency services received a report of an accident involving a two-wheeler rider. As it turned out, the rider of a Honda scooter lost control of the vehicle and fell onto the road.

When the emergency services arrived at the scene, they found a much more complicated situation. A few metres from the scooter lying on the road, two passenger cars had been involved in a head-on collision.
The Lubań outlet reported: – Everything indicates that the Opel driver travelling from the direction of Nowa Karczma changed lanes to avoid the moped lying on the road. Focused on what was happening beside the car, he most likely failed to notice that a Peugeot was travelling in the opposite lane and was also avoiding the incident.
The result? A head-on collision between two passenger cars. Those injured were taken to hospital; it is not yet known how serious their injuries are.
