On 28 June, the Final of the Voivodeship Qualifiers for the 27th National Police Prevention Officers’ Competition, the “Patrol of the Year” Patrol Pair Tournament, was held. As reported by the Wrocław Voivodeship Police Headquarters:

Several dozen of the best patrol and intervention service officers from Lower Silesia in their respective units came to represent municipal and county headquarters and compete for the title of “Patrol of the Year”. The police officers competed in events at the shooting range and obstacle course, and also had to complete a professional knowledge test concerning, among other things, preventing domestic violence, criminal law and the law of petty offences, road traffic regulations, and the principles of providing first aid.

All these events were intended to assess the officers’ comprehensive preparation for performing their daily duties. For the officers taking part in the tournament, it was an opportunity to test themselves and, above all, to have a good time competing and strengthen cooperation with police officers from other units.

Here are the names of the best participants:

  1. sergeant Dominik Nowak and staff sergeant Patryk Niedopytalski (Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra),
  2. sergeant Jakub Mandziak and sergeant Dominika Kwaszcz (County Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec),
  3. sergeant Jakub Góral and junior officer Bartosz Kubiak (County Police Headquarters in Głogów).

The team from Bolesławiec will represent the Lower Silesian garrison in the national final in Słupsk.

The voivodeship police commander in Wrocław, Police Inspector General Dariusz Wesołowski, personally congratulated all the tournament participants. In the presence of the head of the prevention department of the Wrocław Voivodeship Police Headquarters, Police Inspector Paweł Adamczak, and NSZZP representative, Superintendent Bartłomiej Maniakowski, he presented the winners with commemorative diplomas, trophies and prizes. The uniformed officers: “The head of the Lower Silesian police expressed his appreciation for the effort made by the best officers and wished them further success at the national stage.
