The incident took place on Thursday, June 15, on provincial road 360, between Złoty Potok and Bartoszówka (Lubań County). Before 1 p.m., two cars collided there: a Citroën and a Ford.
The driver of the latter car explained in a conversation with eluban.pl :
I saw it (the Citroën, editor’s note: istotne.pl) from a distance; the car stopped before the intersection and remained there. If it had pulled out immediately, I would have had no problem braking in time.
To avoid a collision with the passenger car, the Ford driver swerved right. After clipping the rear of the Citroën, he drove into a brick bus shelter. The Lubań-based outlet reported: – The force of the impact was so great that part of the shelter collapsed and the wall fell onto the car’s hood, completely demolishing it.
The two people traveling in the Citroën escaped the incident almost unscathed. The Ford driver can consider himself very lucky, as he suffered only minor injuries.
