A district police officer from the Szklarska Poręba Police Station and officers from the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra arrested immediately after the incident a 40-year-old woman, a resident of Karkonosze County, suspected of causing bodily harm to her partner.

The crime took place on June 3, at around 7:00 p.m., in an apartment in Szklarska Poręba where a heavily alcohol-fueled party was taking place. – At one point, an argument broke out during which the woman, stabbing him in the abdominal area, caused serious bodily harm to a 39-year-old resident of Karkonosze County – reports Aspirant Beata Sosulska-Baran from the Jelenia Góra Municipal Police Headquarters. – The man was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.

She adds: – The 40-year-old woman was taken into police custody to sober up and for further procedures. A test for alcohol in her system showed nearly 2‰.

The woman admitted to the stabbing and pleaded guilty. She now faces up to five years in prison. The prosecutor placed the 40-year-old under police supervision.
