On June 3, in the Market Square in Lwówek Śląski, 70 recruits undertaking voluntary basic military service and completing basic training at the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment took the oath on the unit’s colors.

Emphasizing the importance of the military oath for a soldier and the commitment contained in the words of the Oath, the commander of the Bolesławiec artillerymen, Col. Krzysztof Malankiewicz, thanked the recruits for their commitment during training. He honored those who stood out and achieved the highest training results with letters of congratulations, and presented their parents with flowers.

The oath-taking ceremony concluded with a parade of subunits, after which the soldiers marched through the city streets accompanied by the Military Band from Żagań.

The ceremony was accompanied by a display of military equipment from the 23rd Artillery Regiment and promotion of professional and voluntary basic military service.
