Another busy weekend is behind us. On Sunday, May 28, the Lower Silesian Junior Championships in the U18 and U20 categories were held in Jelenia Góra. Our athletes once again did not disappoint.
Gold medals
- 4 x 400 m relay team: Amelia Szymska, Julia Szymska, Aleksandra Grabarz and Emilia Burmas, with a time of 4:16.65;
- Julita Jośko in the hammer throw, with the best result of the season: 39.46 m;
- Gabriel Sadowski in the 3000 m, with a time of 9:56.65.
Silver medals
- Michał Bonk in the hammer throw: 45.18 m;
- Ewelina Gurdzień in the hammer throw, with a new personal best of 34.87 m, and in the javelin throw, with a result of 30.28 m;
- Julia Halewicz in the javelin throw, with the best result of the season: 38.60 m;
- Mateusz Kupczak in the shot put, 13.35 m, and in the discus throw, with a result of 37.96 m, which is his new personal best;
- Diana Majewska in the hammer throw, beating her personal best, which now stands at 43.61 m;
- Hubert Bondrow in the 800 m, recording a time of 2:12.29;
- Julia Szymska in the 400 m, with her best time of the season: 61.64 s.
Bronze medals
- Michał Psiuch in the hammer throw, with a new personal best of 41.26 m,
- Emilia Burmas in the 400 m hurdles, with a time of 67.40 s,
- Piotr Tutak in the javelin throw, with a result of 44.54 m.
It is impossible not to mention the other athletes who, although they did not reach the podium, set personal bests:
- Jakub Foremny in the 100 m – 11.93 s,
- Julia Halewicz in the hammer throw – 42.42 m,
- Diana Majewska in the discus throw – 29.48 m,
- Wojciech Solawa in the shot put – 10.26 m,
- Amelia Szymska in the 100 m – 12.81 s.
Bolesłavia: – We also have athletes who do not belong to the U18 or U20 categories, but nevertheless competed against older rivals outside the competition and achieved very good results:
- Dawid Barański – a new personal best in the 200 m with a time of 26.28 s and an equaled personal best of 155 cm in the high jump,
- Lena Burdzy – a new personal best in the 100 m with a time of 13.53 s,
- Vanessa Michaluk – a new personal best in the long jump: 5.35 m.
Athletes coached by Dariusz Łomański also competed in Łódź. Oliwier Skorupiński set a new personal best in the 800 m, which now stands at 1:55.68, while Stanisław Strzelecki recorded 50.06 in the 400 m.
