– Recently, as a result of operational activities, crime officers from Lwówek Śląski prevented nearly a kilogram of narcotic substances from being introduced onto the market – reports Senior Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz from the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski. – In the selected apartment in Lubusz Voivodeship, police officers discovered and secured marijuana, methamphetamine, ecstasy tablets and other psychoactive substances.
What is more, the officers also shut down a cannabis cultivation operation. (Ten plants at various stages of growth were secured.)

The 35-year-old suspected of involvement in drug trafficking was detained and taken to police custody. The evidence gathered at this stage made it possible to charge him with possessing a significant quantity of narcotic substances, as well as introducing drugs worth nearly half a million złotys into circulation.
The suspect was remanded in custody by the court for three months. The man now faces a sentence of between one and as many as ten years in prison.
