We wrote about the joint patrols on May 11 in the report Police Officers and Forest Guards Jointly Patrol Forests. At the beginning of May, officers from Kruszyn, together with Forest Guards from Chocianów, began patrolling the forests. The aim of the operation was to check whether unauthorized persons were entering forest areas in motor vehicles, thereby violating the law. We remind you that entering a forest in a motor vehicle is prohibited.
Entering a forest with such vehicles is prohibited under Article 29 of the Forest Act. The perpetrator of the offense may receive a PLN 500 fine. This is not the end of the sanctions; in some cases, the matter may be referred to court, which may increase the fine to PLN 5,000.
