The incident occurred on 7 May, at around 9 a.m. – Police went to a report stating that an injured man was at one of the buildings in Karpacz. It turned out that a 37-year-old resident of Karkonosze County had stabbed a 40-year-old man several times with scissors – reports Sub-Inspector Edyta Bagrowska, press officer of the Jelenia Góra Municipal Police Headquarters. The injured man was taken to hospital.

The spokesperson explains: – Officers established that the incident occurred outside the building of a woman whom both her former and current partner came to see at the same time. The men got into an argument, as a result of which the 37-year-old injured the 40-year-old.

The aggressor was arrested. On 9 May, he was brought to the Jelenia Góra prosecutor’s office, where he was placed under police supervision and given a ban on approaching or contacting the injured man, as well as a ban on leaving the country.

The 37-year-old now faces up to 7.5 years in prison.
