Police officers from the Traffic Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica, while serving with the use of a video recorder on sections of the A4 motorway, noticed a Mercedes travelling at 195 km/h on a section where the limit is 110 km/h.
– After taking the measurement, the officers stopped the driver of the vehicle for a roadside check. During the procedures, it also turned out that he was wanted in order to establish his place of residence for legal purposes – reports junior warrant officer Tomasz Nowak from the Press Section of the Wrocław Provincial Police Headquarters. – After the procedures were completed, the man was released, while for the offence committed, the police imposed a fine of PLN 2,500 on him. His penalty account was also credited with 15 penalty points.
And he adds:
Let us remember that excessive speed is one of the main causes of road accidents, so let us observe the applicable limits and adjust our speed to the road conditions.
