During the night from Saturday to Sunday, Bolesławiec police officers received information about an altercation between several people that was reportedly taking place in the city center. A patrol was immediately dispatched to the scene, and shortly afterward additional uniformed officers joined the intervening police because more people were reportedly involved in the incident. The officers carrying out the operation questioned the participants in the incident, as well as people who were nearby, regarding the situation. It turned out that no crime had been committed there. Consequently, further actions involving the people who took part in the intervention were scheduled for the following day. These actions were carried out on Sunday, and the individuals were issued cash penalty tickets in connection with the offense committed under Article 51 §1 of the Code of Petty Offenses.
On April 1 at 10:27 p.m., officers of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters received a report from the WCPR about several people causing a disturbance near one of the stores in the city center. The duty officer immediately dispatched a patrol, which arrived after just over a dozen minutes. Additional patrols were assigned to the intervention because the information indicated that several people were involved in the incident.
Once the officers began their work, it turned out that American soldiers stationed at a military base located in Bolesławiec County were involved in the situation. In addition to the direct participants in the incident, the reporting parties were also questioned. The information collected did not indicate that an act defined by law as a crime had occurred at the scene.
During the intervention, the police officers contacted a coordinator representing the U.S. military, with whom ongoing cooperation and information exchange are maintained regarding various matters related to the operation of the military base located in the county, and informed him about the situation.
In view of the above, further actions involving the people who took part in the incident were scheduled for the following day, given the condition they were in.
On April 2 of this year, Bolesławiec police officers carried out actions as part of proceedings concerning offenses involving five participants of Saturday's incident. Since these individuals had committed an offense under Article 51 §1 of the Code of Petty Offenses, they were punished through ticket proceedings.
