– According to the officers’ findings, the 38-year-old, while under the influence of alcohol, had been starting domestic arguments for no reason for seven years. During these incidents, he insulted his wife and children, as well as criticizing, humiliating and ridiculing them, threatening them and physically abusing them – reports Senior Sergeant Olga Łukaszewicz, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Lwówek Śląski.
She adds:
The evidence collected by the officers in this case made it possible to charge the man with abusing his immediate family members. In this case, the police officers submitted a request to the prosecutor’s office for a preventive measure to be imposed on the suspect.
The prosecutor’s office ordered the 38-year-old to leave the apartment he had occupied together with the victims. The man was also prohibited from contacting his immediate family members and from approaching them.
He is not the only perpetrator of domestic violence in the district. Senior Sergeant O. Łukaszewicz:
In another case, following a domestic intervention that also took place in the Lwówek Śląski municipality, police officers from Lwówek Śląski isolated an aggressive 41-year-old man who had abused his wife. The man was detained and placed in a police cell, while the officers placed the family under the “Blue Card” procedure.
The following morning, on the basis of the collected documentation, the officers decided to issue the perpetrator of domestic violence with an order to immediately leave the jointly occupied apartment and a ban on approaching the apartment and its immediate surroundings within a distance of less than 50 metres. These measures remain in force for 14 days.
