Officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn, acting on information they had received, investigated a fraud case involving a 24-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County.
The Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters explains:
The man twice submitted a certificate of enrollment at the Social Insurance Institution. Continuing his education was the basis for granting him a family pension. Despite interrupting his education during the school year, he continued to receive the pension granted to him.
It adds:
The charges concerned fraud committed in 2018 and 2019. In total, the suspect received benefits worth more than PLN 14,500.
The 24-year-old admitted to the offense and gave an explanation. Fraud is punishable by up to 8 years in prison.
