– Yesterday afternoon, Bolesławiec traffic police officers stopped a passenger vehicle for inspection on one of the city’s streets because its driver was not wearing a seat belt – reports asp. szt. Anna Kublik-Rościszewska, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.

She adds:

The officers observed symptoms in the man indicating the presence of certain substances in his system.

The driver was not drunk. However, a drug test showed that he was under the influence of methamphetamine. (The man himself admitted that he had taken the drug over the weekend).

The suspect lost his driving licence. The spokesperson says: – Driving under the influence of psychotropic substances carries a penalty of up to two years in prison, financial consequences and a long-term loss of driving privileges. Additionally, the man will be held liable for the offence of driving without a fastened seat belt.
