Officers: – Within just a few hours, Lower Silesian traffic police officers identified more than 30 offenses committed by drivers of heavy goods vehicles on a section of the A4 motorway in the Środa Śląska area.
Aspirant Przemysław Ratajczyk from the Press Section of KWP in Wrocław:
Most involved failing to comply with the ban on overtaking by heavy goods vehicles, which is one of the biggest problems negatively affecting traffic flow on the Lower Silesian section of the A4 motorway. To counter precisely this type of behavior, officers organized an operation yesterday during which they intensively checked heavy goods vehicle drivers. We remind you that failure to comply with sign B-26 (ban on overtaking by heavy goods vehicles) may result in a fine of PLN 1,000 and 15 penalty points for the driver.
And he adds:
Everyone using the Lower Silesian section of the A4 motorway is aware of the enormous traffic volume on this route, which is crucial for southern Poland. Every day, tens of thousands of different vehicles travel along this artery, resulting in many dangerous situations. Lower Silesian police officers work to prevent them, patrolling this route every day and disciplining drivers who violate traffic regulations.
Officers do not hide the fact that actions of this kind will also be carried out in the future. The aim is to eliminate dangerous behavior from road traffic, as well as conduct that irritates other drivers.
